Note to self:

Setting your alarm for 6PM is not a good idea, especially if:

a) You have to get up at 6am
b) You share with someone closer to the front door who tends to get up at 10am and does not appreciate insanely loud knocking ar 6:15am.

How is everyone on this fine, grey November Morning?

I have been founding Oxford recently amazingly gorgeous and gone a bit mad taking photos. But only from my windows, as it is too cold to go outside. So these are my views at different times of day/angles.
Back Window:

The library, it thus look a bit like the entrance to hell, but in a pretty way.

Front window:

Hall and the chapel:

The lodge

Gorgeous full moon

The only picture not taken from my windows, how pretty the fog is!

That looks remarkably like Univ. From memory I would guess you are at the top of staircase 7 in the room on the left or the room adjacent to it on the next staircase along!

It is Univ, but I am at the top of staircase 2! Not sure where 7 is, maybe opposite, how do you know? It is rather pretty, do you not agree?

Maybe I was thinking of staircase 2. The one half-way along on the right of the main quad.

I know Univ. quite well from 10+ years ago. The Tolkien Society used it for Oxonmoot from 1991 to 1996 (except 1992). We used the JCR for the Dealers' Room and the Art Show and the room opposite it for Hospitality. [livejournal.com profile] amalion and I had the twin set above the JCR and ex-membership secretary and archivist had the room opposite that. I am deducing that is your room.

I liked Univ. for Oxonmoot and would like to go back there, but we'd need to use the dining hall for the Saturday Party, as the Cellar Bar would be too small for us now (Oxonmoot has grown), but they won't let us use the dining hall. :-(

Hee, that's it. That is really quite odd. It's sad that you are not allowed to use hall, though the bar is quite big, we do fit hundreds of people down there for Bops, but it is a tight fit.

Very pretty!! Love the red tones in the first one. And Oxford is nice. We went there some time ago on a Sunday and heard the bells ring and then you blogged about the bells ringing that day and I was going to comment on that post and then I never did so I'm commenting now instead. *catches breath* You're pretty too. So there.

Hee, that is so cool! I suppose if you are here for the day the bells would be more appealing than if you are trying to write an essay...I am guessing I was complaining in the post, I do that. Um. If you guys ever come this way again, you should totally say something. And thank you! *beams* :D
