Over the weekend have repeatedly tried to post a long squee regarding OotP, as finally saw it on Friday with a bunch of fandomers and I loved it so, but things kept going wrong and deleting my attempts! :( So yeah, loved it and Luna and Harry and Umbridge (not loved, but feared! She was terrifying) and everyone was awesome. Long review shall follow after I see it again. Hopefully soon. Not thinking of DH, not at all, in a week it will be all over. Oh my god. For the first time ever I am avoiding spoilers, though it is so difficult, I am tempted to click links.

Tomorrow is my first day of work in London. Need to get up at 7, oh dear. Wish me luck! I really hope I like this. But being in London will be awesome as so many of you are there! :D

Going to bed now, haven't gone to bed so early in so very long.

Yay! [community profile] pornish_pixies is back!! I hope things will go back to normal soon, I am so proud of everyone working together and making sure we are heard. It is amazing. Yay Fandom, you are so amazing! Everyone should still join [profile] fandom_counts, even apart from the whole debacle it is pretty awesome to know how many of us there are. Join it! Even if you don't think you are in fandom anymore!

In other news. I am officially a slacker. :( Have done no essays this week. This is very, very bad as it means that I will need to write 4 in the remaining two weeks of term. Oh dear, only 2 weeks of term left. So sad. :( I should be planning my summer right now, and will do, just need to update first...

The reason for not working at all is that since last thursday I started doing lots of fun things. I finally went punting, which was hilarious as I really can't do it. Moving the punt in a straight line is pretty much impossible, so what we did was change the end from which we punted everytime we crashed into the bank or the bushes. Yay! Friday was a double birthday, so went out and had a really fun, if a tad alcohol filled night. Saturday was such fun, went to London for a fandom picnic with the [profile] london_t00bs and it rained. It was amazing, in the pretty park with ducks everywhere and soo much food and drink and proper picnic blankets and a t-rex cake. And then it rained and rained and rained. And because we are hardcore and not afraid of little rain we ran to hide in the bandstand, unfortunately that has no walls and a very high roof, so failed at protecting us from the rain. :( Eventually we gave up and went to [personal profile] son_of_darkness's house. It was such a fun evening, made funnier by the fact that while everyone else was getting progressively drunk, I was still feeling not too good from the night before and was therefore completely sober. It was so good seeing people again, I guess I won't be able to do so again until [profile] sectus which is actually getting quite close. Wow.

On Sunday I woke up, met with a friend and had lunch, then watched Pirates of the Caribbean and then had dinner. It was a good day. I want to talk briefly about pirates.

Then on Monday I proceeded to do no work whatsoever, went to meet a friend for breakfast, came back to college and went straight to Lunch, went out in the evening. Did anyone know that baby love bar has sex rooms?? (my name for them, but it is appropriate!) I had never noticed them before, for they are so hidden and private with many candles. I have so much wax on my clothes now. :( Tuesday was good, there was a chocolate fountain and yesterday I tried to finally do some work but ended up listening to arabic, indian and bulgarian music on youtube until 2 am with my tute partner. It was then that we gave up on writing the essay. oops. I want to do something tonight, but nothing is going on which is sad. I want to dance!

Hello. I am with [livejournal.com profile] elanor_isolda and [livejournal.com profile] fadagaski and they are forcing me to post. We are in easyCinema and about to finally see V for Vendetta, yay! I wish I could say something more exciting...I am watching an Xmen 3 trailer, is that exciting? Yeah. I thought not.

Oh. To add to the many similar posts, was at the boatrace, we won, couldn't really see despite climbing a wall and risking my life.

Time to go see a film now.

Au revoir.

Fandom meet ups are love, a whole lot of love.

I met with [livejournal.com profile] sparksandclocks after getting lost in the tube and we got to the cinema where there were so many fandom people all dressed up it was amazing! The film the second time round was no less good, and seeing it with fandom people did mean my squee was nicely shared, though I didn't cry this time.

Then a lot of us went back to [livejournal.com profile] lazy_daze's and [livejournal.com profile] baleheadbabe's flat and it was the sort of night that you need to have been there in order to believe it. Very nice meeting everyone, have friended all I remember meeting. Love!

Me and Jodie left at about three and promptly got the bus on the wrong side of the road. Fun. She did realise that and we eventually (fourish) got back to her flat, which is all lovely and white. ([livejournal.com profile] jacinthsong, I have your Serenity poster, will have to rememeber to give it to you) And instead of going straight to sleep we talked until half six, which looking back was rather insane. Woke up at 2 this afternoon and got to Oxford just before 7, not sure where the hours went, but did not read any of the People's Peace on the coach.

Hustings for Academic Affairs officer were right after dinner, went okay, have a good chance of winning I think, would really love to do it.

Should sleep now, suprisingly not that tired.

The premiere was...well I will try to look at things in a positive way, however omg never again, not sleeping for two hours and getting there 12 hours too early! (Met a girl on bus home who had managed to get a poster from the premiere, turned out she was at the front and got there at 4.30pm! What the hell??? We were there at 5:30am and the actors started arriving at 5pm)

It fucking rained and people were rude and inconsiderate, autograph collectors should die.

Fandom people I met were lovely and I love you all, have friended anyone I remember the name of, too dead to search everyone out. Most of the others dressed up and looked amazing! There will be pictures hopefully. We had two Bellas, Tom Riddle, Millicent, Neville, AU Slytherin Lily, Parvati, Snape, Lucius, Harry and various other Slytherins. [livejournal.com profile] son_of_darkness in his role as Harry was interviewed by all possible tv's apart from a British one, he is clearly famous around the world now.

HOWEVER.

  • CEDRIC IS REALLY REALLY HOT! He wore LEATHER trousers and a red velvet jacket. All the boys were in velvet for some reason.
  • Dan was omg so cute and tiny and wore LONG *GREEN* VELVET jacket!
  • Rupert! I loved Rupert, his hair is ever so purty and he was just so sweet! (blue velvet jacket) They all went shopping together!!
  • Cho (Katy) was hot, also her dress was gorgeous.
  • Tom Felton is a chav and we call him Chav Tomson from now on.
  • Still don't like Emma.
  • Bonnie has *really* grown, she has the whole slut Ginny thing down with her ridiculously high red *velvet* shoes. WTF is with all the velvet?
  • Krum is also hot.
  • I am clearly of the shallow.
  • I simply can't do the screaming thing, I feel dissapointed with self.
I want to sleep so much but have economics due in tomorrow at 9 which I have yet to begin. :(((((((((

My Turn

I have given up trying to update properly, there really is too much to say.

The short version is that yesterday I finally saw Serenity (will talk about that later) with [livejournal.com profile] sparksandclocks, [livejournal.com profile] jacinthsong, [livejournal.com profile] chains_of_irony, [livejournal.com profile] bigfluffball, Alex and his friend whose name I don't remember, it was fabulous, we had labels and a guy sitting behind us was snoring all the way through the film, last past not so fabulous but worth mentioning. Before then there was a too short [livejournal.com profile] ou3fs meeting, there was a lot of squeeing and good ice cream and I went all shy and quiet which is very unlike me but never mind now.

I went to the Freshers fair and joined *everything* including the Harry Potter society, even if the people there were not very nice at all.

I also had a Toga Bop, which was really fun, everyone made an effort and afterwards we all went in our sheets to get a kebab outside Univ to the surprise of random passers by. I spend an hour thrying to make a borrowed sheet that turned out to be a curtain resemble a Toga and it did for about five minutes before starting to fall apart.

Today my parents visited and it was really strange seeing them, as everything here is like a completely different world, and mixing it all with the world outside is freaky. They did bring me a mini fridge though which makes me extremely happy.

The food here is atrocious, at Formal Hall today the vegeterian option was half an onion. There was a JCR meeting and half my friends became a rep for something or other, I hope the three food  reps succeed in reducing the amount of mushrooms and pepper in every single meal we have.

I am in love

Went to London today, had a fantastic time.

Got there in the morning knowing I will be meeting people but not sure of the specifics which resulted in me being all alone in Euston and ringing everyone I know that lives in London and no one picked up the phone! Well, after I panicked just a tad [livejournal.com profile] sparksandclocks  called and we arranged to meet at  Trafalger Square, she was stuck  in traffic so I spend my time there sitting on  a rubber band  bench thing, which was filmed by a gazillion news crews. It was bizarre. It was some special design and they filmed and filmed and filmed for like an hour, mainly this guy but random people too. (If anyone sees me on TV, hi!) Then I called [livejournal.com profile] rachwelian and told her all about the rubber band seat thing.

After Jodie got there we had lunch  in a really cool place, it was like this bar the served cheap lunch. It was all modern and very much a bar but a lovely place to eat nonetheless. After too short a time we had to separate, but luckily and randomly her nearest station is where I was meeting people so we got there together. (At this point I have to note that I did not get lost once, and this was my first  ever solo trip to London. I pwnd the  underground)

Then I met [livejournal.com profile] lazy_daze, [livejournal.com profile] baleheadbabe, [livejournal.com profile] son_of_darkness, [livejournal.com profile] lizardspots, [livejournal.com profile] seshat1, [livejournal.com profile] annephoenix, [livejournal.com profile] elanor_isolda, [livejournal.com profile] slytherinboyz and [livejournal.com profile] snakeling and looked around the Natural History museum. There were dinosaurs and a Giant Squid and too many bugs, we had so much fun also the mentality of 12 year old boys. (T Rex/Bus?) [livejournal.com profile] libra_lemon joined us a bit later and the we went to The Marlborough Head (I think that is what it is called, but not completely sure), a lovely themed pub which has become the fandom place to meet and had two of each seven deadly sins cocktails. There we also met with [livejournal.com profile] jlmatthews. It was so cool, Lizard drew Harry/Lucius/Snape and we all wrote a round robin which ended up as a H/D badfic. A lot of pictures were taken and a lot of (random) people were scared and I could write a lot more but need sleep now. It was great meeting people, such things should happen more often *moves to London* and I hope I haven't missed anyone out *counts names yet again* Ooh, we also had nametags! Yay Fandom! :D

ETA In all the excitement I forgot to mention that I have my laptop again! I even managed to get quite a few of my files, well not the music or my downloads or pretty boy pics, but everything else I have, I also have a latger hard drive and so much security. Need to start downloading things before I go to Uni, which is in two weeks exactly...scared.
