Oxford interview

Hello.
I am going to my Oxford interview tomorrow afternoon.
I am afraid.
I am so incredibly scared and under prepared it is not even funny.
I am going to Oxford tomorrow and on Monday morning I will have a one hour exam and then 2-3 interviews and the only thing I know is that I know nothing, while this is quite a brilliant deduction, I have to say that despite part of the degree being philosophy the admission tutors are not likely to accept this as a valid answer for all their questions.
In my personal statement I said that my my particular intereest in Philosophy is the idea of morality which was fuelled by Aristotle's book Ethics, a book which I have not read as of yet. Which I can see right now and which is not understandable. And yet I have another brilliant quote to deflect any possible questions regarding the book: I hate books; they only teach us to talk about things we know nothing about <-- it is by Rousseau, someone I will happily talk about and have also mentioned in Personal Statement, luckily without false proclamations of having read The Social Contract in the original french or something rediculous like that.
At least I have nearly finished the Political Animal and now know interesting things about politician and just how barmy they all are.
On the bright side all that research and revision into Poltics and philosophy means that I have completely disregarded that PPE stand for politics, philosphy and economics and have done very minimum revision into the central economic principles I used to know and love and that have chosen to abandon me in my hour of need.
I will be back on Wednesday, WISH ME LUCK for I am in dire need of it.

Date: 2004-12-05 12:14 am (UTC)I already have 3000 words and succeeded in getting Harry and Sirius into that backalley together, but now they refuse to have sex, all they want to do is talk about why they really shouldn't have sex *grr*
I got an extension until Friday, so you'll still have the chance to beta it once you get back from your interview.
Hopefully I've convinced the two to drop their trousers and start shagging by then ;-)
Also I have a new icon *rotfl*

Date: 2004-12-05 01:28 pm (UTC)There was a computer room just below me, so I spent some of my time on LJ, hee! I also went shopping, and hung out in the JCR with other people there for my course, and the night after our written test we all got disgustingly drunk in someone's room, which was fun ;D I applied to St Johns, where are you applying?

Date: 2004-12-05 05:45 pm (UTC)And yay, computers I will try to get to one and update LJ while there.
I have an evil plan, it envolves going out before the written test and getting everybody else drunk, that way I get in and they don't *evil laugh*
I've applied to University, for the simple reason that the name is the easiest one to remember.

Date: 2004-12-09 11:42 pm (UTC)I have to say I am very fond of the random search, I've met quite a few people that way. I haven't heard of that book, who is it by and what is it about, I would certainly read it if I can find it.
