Just got back, threw up on the way and generally feel like shit, but apart from this the holiday was good. It feels weird saying this, considering that after day one, I labeled it the holiday from Hell and really wanted to get an early flight home. Nonetheless as a whole it was a lot of fun, very eventful in some ways and quite repetitive in others. We had the same routine, go to clubs in the evening, go home at 5 and sleep till one, then go to the beach, then come home and eat and sleep again and then go out. It sounds quite horrible, I never thought I would enjoy such a holiday or want to go on it, not that I had much choice on our activities. Spend the majority of the first night in hospital, had a horrible fight with one of the 'friends' I was on holiday with. (I have never said this about anyone before, but I pretty much hate everything about her, only managed to get along because I was holding my tongue around her all the time) got drunk and did embarrassing things that may have been photographed and have a lovely tan. Will update with more detail later, need to get a bit of sleep now, got up at half six. Admittedly that is not that early but when you go to bed at half four it is.

As for HBP, don't have it yet, and am too scared to look at flist because I will be tempted to read spoilers, I just have one question.

IS IT GOOD?

I remember how Ootp had a lot of very mixed reviews but the general agreement seemed to be that of slight disappointment, what about HBP, is it better? Is it amazing? Do you people like it?

(I don't think I should need to say this, but omg don't spoil me!)

Dude, I travelled back from Spain with the worst. hangover. ever. I also got drunk and did embarassing things (mainly centred around throwing up in public.) Can I ask why the hospital though?

It can be hard when there's a big group of people, who all get along to varying degrees, but as long as your holiday was more good than bad I think that's what matters.

Oh, and HBP? GOOD. Trust me.

Yeah, hangover on a plane sucks, it was so cold too. Can't believe I am flying again tomorrow. Throwing up in public unfortunately I have done too, last summer on results day on a busy touristy street. I randomly ran into my parents two minutes afterwards too, not the best luck there. As for the hospital, my friend got sun stroke which was mixed with alcohol and the result was horrible, (got an ambulance and everything, I have never been so terrified in my life) having to pay 170 euros on our first night was not the best start to our holiday. And because it is partly alcohol caused the insurance doesn't cover it, which we didn't know until later.

It was only three of us, and one of them is one of my closest friends and the other one I used to like, but not anymore. Oh well, it was fun and memorable so I am not complaining.

Yay! Am so excited, can't wait to read it. :D

HBP is better than GoF and better than OotP, definitely. It's not quite as long and cumbersome, and while exposition-heavy, it's quite tightly plotted. It seems a bit fanfic-ish in parts - I can't say which parts lest I spoil you at all. You'll definitely know them when you see them.

But yeah, it's gooooooooooood.

I have been very bad and totally looking at people's reactions, not reading spoilers much, but I feel like I know too much already, and every reaction so far has been positive and really really happy which gives me hope. I wonder who hates it, but there will be plenty of chances for me to find the wank later. Finally have the book, yay! :D

I am also easy to please, but I loved GoF and so my expectations for Ootp were set a bit too high, I do like what I have read so far though! Will try to catch up with EP as soon as I can and update, won't be able to do very much more whilst I am in Bulgaria though.

Thank you so much for this, I have finally read HBP though(So good, don't you think?) I am away at the moment and in an internet club where I really don't feel comfortable reading fic, and your fics tend to be rather adult orientated (which is definitely a good thing) :D When I get back though I will read and review it. *hugs*

I managed to read HP6!!! Jen finally finished it after like a week, and I finished it yesterday, very good too, lots of destruction and violence! Muahaha!!!!

Oh, and another thing, I've been writing some HP slash, are you proud? Now all you need to do is suggest an LJ community to me...

Oh, another thing, I didn't get into the RAF. Failed my interview, something about being lazy and having no friends...

The end kinda sucks because Harry was like, "Ginny, I'm sorry. I love you but I can't because 'He' will exploit my love for you...so we are over." The irony is that all his life, love is what has kept him alive and safe.

I liked the end, because despite his relationship with Ginny it has always been about his friendship with Ron and Hermione and to end the book on that note it stayed true to the previous books. But that's just me.
