An update to say that revision hasn't killed me. Yet.

I have so much to say, but will do that later as have literally a 10 minute break before doing some more politics. Am only online, because had to email my maths teacher pleading for help. Maths exam being on wednesday, me not knowing major things, really not good. On the other hand english was today and it was brilliant, I've never felt better after an exam, ever. After three hours and 9 pages I left the exam hall feeling entirely happy. The question on Snow Falling on Cedars was on the portrayal of women, not that anyone cares but I'd done an essay on that before. Oh yeah, it was also my best essay EVER. So good, I actually smiled upon reading said question, in the exam, Smiled! I am worried about my sanity. Oh well, the other two were very good too and this is the reason I so want to study english.

Am so behind on fic need to read.

It seems ages ago that I sow POA, I also missed the majority of the squeeing, but from what I have seen, EVERYBODY likes it. Am, glad but a bit surprised since my brother got very annoyed that it didn't follow canon and was't really pleased. I on the other hand simply wouldn't shut up after I saw it.

One more week! whee!

Thanks a lot! Your good wishes are very much needed. I will refrain from whining, but politics and maths on the same day is truly evil. Considering I have about a million of notes for Politics I have no time to even read. Oh well, it will alll be over in a week. <3

Congrats from me too! I hope you do equally good in the rest of your exams. Two little question because I'm curious how other school systems work:
-How many exams do you have to take and can you choose the subjects yourself?

-Are there only written exams or do you have to take oral ones as well?

Thank you! I share the same hope, now If only it was reality.

1. Ok, British school system is odd, it depends a lot on your age, compulsory education is up to when you are 16, you take your GCSEs (general certificates for secondary education) At the moment I study A-levels, these are two year courses after the GCSEs you need before applying to Uni with the results. (You can also do college courses and stuff, but it gets a bit complicated there) You do choose what you want to study, generally in ok schools is 4 subjects for the first year of the course, and 3 the second. Me in my insanity am doing 5, and planning to do 4 next year (if maths doesn't decide to fail on me that is :)) Each of these subjects has 3 modules, each having a separate exam, most of these are at the end of the year, a couple in January (you can also do coursework)

2. You can take orals, depending on your subjects, that is if you are studying any languages other than english you have an oral exam. There are a couple of practical ones for the sciences and music and art, but most are purely written.

That is probably entirely too much information, but you did ask :p!

There can never be too much information. It's actually quite interesting.

You're right the english school system sounds rather complicated or in your words odd. Our english teacher tried for two weeks to explain it to us,we even had diagrams and such things in our textbook to explain it more visual, but I didn't entirly understand it. Still don't really.

What subjects did you take apart from maths, english and politics?

Whee interesting!
Media Studies and Economics, the exams are on friday and monday, therefore too far away to need my worry :< I think I can learn a year of economics in two and a half days :)
Just in case you haven't noticed am in the oddest mood, I'm blaming sleep deprivation, or maybe I'm just like that, *hides*
