Today was an altogether fairly interesting day, I am sorry I bitched yesterday, but I suppose it was kinda therapeutic, as I felt better. Plus there was snow!
I woke up and there was snow, it was ever so pretty. I was on my school bus, and I could see these woods, normally so ugly, grey and bare, but this morning they looked like a part of a fairy tale, white, pure, and cottony like some sort of exquisite embroidery. And children were throwing snowballs. And I was thinking that if they hit me, I will kill them, But lucky for them, they didn't. All the snow is melted now, and it is no longer pretty and white.(I realize, what I just wrote sounds slightly insane, but it's my journal so dammit I will post what I want, not that anybody reads it anyway)
In Media we are studying soaps. Yes, I am actually forced to watch EastEnders in school. Believe it or not, I am the only person in the whole class that watches no soaps. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Some watch 4 soaps regularly. So, I am excused from the current homework. (he he, never knew not watching crap will get me off homework) However I was tentatively advised by my teacher to maybe start watching Neighbours. So Yeah. Still haven't written media stories, have one title though, only 3 week left for coursework, I am up to nowhere, am starting to panic.
During my lunch ime I was having a conversation with my friend Jamie that went like this:
*Jamie looks at my folder which has a poster of Eminem*
J: Why do you have a picture of Marshal Mathers?
Me: Because I love him.
J: But he is crap and ugly, no one likes him.
Me: I like him enough for a lot of people. (yes I'm strange, but we already established that)
J: Don't take this the wrong way but, if I was a..
There followed a short bit full of *Are you sure you want to go there* and laughter and etc, not important. Mostly my friend Liz (He fancies her, but doesn't do anything about that.) trying to stop him from continuing, but he did.
J: Like I was saying, If I was a woman..
Me: Yes..
J: And could have any man I wanted..
Me: Go on.
J: It would have to be Jude Law. He is the best.
Me: I have to agree, I am all for the Jude love.
And there you have it, what amused me is that he volunteered that information completely out of the blue and didn't need to think about it. I guess even straight boys do think about things like that. I really must find out this type of information from more people. The conversation previous to that was almost as bizarre and included, but was not limited to: bananas, scarves, sex in a park, views and believes in God/Heaven, pets and shaving your head to hide that you've been smoking dope. (Don't ask)
Elijah Wood was on Graham Norton today, and it was incredibly funny. Elijah was talking about the huge fanbase the LOTR has, and knew all about fanfiction and slash. *They write all this fanfiction with these, uh homosexual themes* He was even familiar with the pairings *Frodo and Sam, they've got Aragorn and Boromir, Legolas and Gimley too* Then he was telling us all about this website where there were homoerotic images of Sam and Frodo and how amazingly similar to them it was. Of course, Graham showed the webside, and my god the pictures! Like Elijah said, the resemblance was *creepy*, however he didn't appear horrified. *It is just so similar to us, it is us, and I certainly didn't film me and Sean doing that.* Yes he didn't deny it, he just said he didn't film them, perhaps he should check with Sean... It was absolutely hilarious and then they did the Sam/Frodo thing, *I'm glad I am with you Sam, here at the end of all things* He said it!! And Graham was all like *Mr Frodo!* Oh I can't describe it, but I loved it soo much, and I can't believe they showed those photo things, What a shame it is not aired in the US, LOTR slash fans would have a field day.
Had a conversation with someone who just read the Harry Potter books and it was really refreshing to receive completely initial personal opinions not influenced by fanon in any way. My friend liked Lupin, said he was a real Gentleman. She called Snape 'creepy' and Draco a 'coward'. She also didn't like Harry much during books 4-5, said he was 'mean and very self centered'. She did agree that Hermione is smart and bossy like me though.
Well, it's so late now. Good night!
